Course: GDS 265 Design for Communication I
Swiss Style Poster Design: This class project challenged students to create a print poster that encapsulated the essence of a randomly assigned graphic design era. I was assigned the Swiss Style (also known as the International Typographic Style) of the 1950s and ’60s: known for its clean, modernist approach rooted in grid systems, geometric structure, and clarity in communication.

GOALS
+ Visually represent the key principles of Swiss Style design
+ Translate historical design theory into an engaging, accessible poster
+ Balance educational content with minimalist, modern aesthetics
+ Avoid an overly academic tone while still honoring the movement’s core philosophies
