Graphic Design Era Poster
Course: GDS 265 Design for Communication I
This class project involved creating a print poster that encapsulated the essence of a randomly assigned graphic design era. I was assigned the Swiss Style of the 1950s and ’60s, characterized by its clean, modernist, and geometric aesthetic. The poster design captures the spirit of the movement through the use of minimal monotone color, a modern geometric sans-serif typeface, and simple, shape-based graphics.
The design aims to inform and educate audiences about the era while maintaining an accessible and visually engaging presentation, avoiding an overly academic tone.
