Cranky Press Brand Identity System: This client-based class project focused on creating a comprehensive brand identity system for Cranky Press, a letterpress studio based in Salem, Ohio. The focus of this project was to develop a cohesive, engaging visual language that reflects the studio’s vintage character, hands-on craft, and community-oriented Midwestern roots.
GOALS
+  Design a flexible, recognizable identity that honors traditional printmaking techniques
+  Create visual assets that balance vintage charm with a contemporary edge
+  Develop consistent branding across print, digital, and merchandise applications
+  Reinforce the studio’s role as both a creative business and a local cultural space

OUTCOMES
The final identity system captures the creative essence of traditional letterpress while bringing clarity and energy to the studio’s public presence. The brand’s tactile details and regional tone strengthen Cranky Press’s connection to its community and enhance its visibility across both physical and digital platforms.
